Been catching up with dear old friends over the past couple of days.

We're all slowly but surely growing up and imparted the key bits of wisdom we've discovered over the last few years. Mine was "we shouldn't blame ourselves if other people turn out to be bastards" while my friend's was "don't be afraid to let other people mess up" even if your name is on that piece of work (because both she and I tend to be over-responsible).

I'm not entirely sure whether either piece of advice is entirely sound, but that's what working for us at this complicated not-quite-invincible, not-quite-full-of-boundless-amounts-of-energy, not-yet-dead stage of our lives.

It's one thing to dispense advice, of course. A whole 'nother ball game following it.
