Saw Chairlift at the Borderline last night. Supporting act Off Love was bizarre in a mesmerising way. Chairlift was good and unexpectedly polished, one moment sounding all New Wave, and trip hop the next. Lead singer Caroline Polachek reminds me of Karolina Komstedt, Club 8's lead singer, but with more American features, both physically and vocally. Strangely enough, even their names are similar.
So there you have it. My review of the gig in five lines. I'd recommend you going to see them when they perform at the Scala in April.
In the meantime, check out Chairlift's music video for Met Before. It is a Choose Your Own Adventure video with rocks on. You will have to head over here to see it due to embedding issues on their end (so I've read).
