I'm not going to comment on how I feel about the John Terry affair - at least not in this post - but I guess every country has its own Tiger Woods. The Times' David Aaronovitch writes on why everyone's calling for JT's captaincy to be stripped. It's not insightful in the least, and the only reason I'm flagging it up here is because of his style of writing. Who on earth uses yclept, persiflage and turpitudes in normal speech? And all in the same article? Pretentious much?
